It’s #mycatmonday or rather #mydogmonday as I’ve drawn Emmett, our beloved cat-software-on-dog-hardware Shiba Inu we had from 2007 to 2019.

When Emmett entered our lives, we weren’t looking for a dog. A friend of mine asked me if I wanted one and we said sure. Turns out that Emmett had shown up at her apartment and each roommate thought it was another roommate’s dog. They each took care of it for a few days before finally talking to each other and finding out he just moved right in their yard.

He was fully an adult at the time, so we don’t know exactly how old hew as at the time he passed, but we’re guessing based on the deterioration he was closer to 16.
